Moko kahan dhundhere bande
mein to tere paas mein

Na teerath mein,
na moorat mein na ekant niwas mein
na mandir mein,
na masjid mein na kabe kailas mein

Moko kahan dhundhere bande

Na mein jap mein,
na mein tap mein na mein barat upaas mein
na mein kiriya karm mein rehta
nahin jog sanyas mein

Moko kahan dhundhere bande

Khoji hoye turat mil jaoon ik pal ki talas mein
kahet kabir suno bhai sadho mein to hun vishwas mein

Moko kahan dhundhere bande
mein to tere paas mein

Lyrics:
sab kuchh sikha hamne na sikhi hoshiyari
sab kuchh sikha hamne na sikhi hoshiyari
sach hai duniyavalo ki ham hai anadi

duniya ne kitna samajhaya
kaun hai apna kaun paraya
phir bhi dil ki chot chhupa kar
hamne aapka dil bahalaya
khud hi mar mitane ki ye zid hai hamari
khud hi mar mitane ki ye zid hai hamari
sach hai duniyavalo ki ham hai anadi

dil ka chaman ujadate dekha
pyara ka rang utarate dekha
hamne har jine vale ko
dhan daulat pe marate dekha
dil pe marane vale marenge bhikhari
dil pe marane vale marenge bhikhari
sach hai duniyavalo ki ham hai anadi

asali nakali chehare dekhe
dil pe sau sau pahare dekhe
mere dukhate dil se puchho
kya kya khvab sunehare dekhe
tuta jis tare pe nazar thi hamari
tuta jis tare pe nazar thi hamari
sab kuchh sikha hamne na sikhi hoshiyari
sach hai duniyavalo ki ham hai anadi

Day 110 of 300: Today's song is Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke by Hemant Kumar - Pyaasa (1957)

It is day 110 of 300, and today's song is Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke sung by Hemant Kumar from the 1957 movie Pyaasa, directed and produced by Guru Dutt. Music composed by the legendary great, and my all time favorite, S.D. Burman, lyrics written by Sahir Ludhianvi.

Great movie! Great song! Great music!
This movie has to be one of the top classic movies like Gone with the Wind or something. Lots of really good songs in this movie.

Here is a rendition with lyrical video (posted on Nov 11, 2024):

Lyrics:
Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke Pyar Ko Pyar Mila
Humne To Jab Kaliyaan Maangi Kaaton Ka Haar Mila
Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke Pyar Ko Pyar Mila
Humne To Jab Kaliyaan Maangi Kaaton Ka Haar Mila

Khusioyonki manzil dhoondi to gham ki gard mili
Khusioyonki manzil dhoondi to gham ki gard mili
Chahat ke nagme chahe to, aahen shard mili
Dil ke bojh ko doona kar gaya, jo gam saar mila
Humne To Jab Kaliyaan Maangi Kaaton Ka Haar Mila
Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke Pyar Ko Pyar Mila

Bichhad Gayaa... Bichhad Gayaa...
Bichhad Gayaa har santhi de kar pal do pal ka santh
Kisko Phursat Hai Jo Thaame Deewane Ka Haath
Humko apnaa saayaa tak aksar bezaar milaa
Humne To Jab Kaliyaan Maangi Kaaton Ka Haar Mila
Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke Pyar Ko Pyar Mila

Isko Hi Jeena Kehte Hain To Yunhi Ji Lenge
Isko Hi Jeena Kehte Hain To Yunhi Ji Lenge
Uf Na Karenge Lab See Lenge Aansoo Pee Lenge
Gham Se Ab Ghabraana Kaisa Gham Sau Baar Mila
Humne To Jab Kaliyaan Maangi Kaaton Ka Haar Mila
Jaane Woh Kaise Log The Jinke Pyar Ko Pyar Mila

Day 211: Today's song is Tujhse Naraz Nahin Zindagi by Lata Mangeshkar & Anup Ghoshal

It is day 211, and today's song is Tujhse Naraz Nahin Zindagi sung by Lata Mangeshkar & Anup Ghoshal (as two separate versions) from the 1983 movie Masoom, directed by Shekhar Kapur. Music composed by R.D. Burman, and lyrics written by Gulzar.

The movie earned 5 Filmfare awards that year including for best music director and best lyrics writer.

I personally feel these two are the best music/lyrics creator combination ever in Bollywood. Sometimes I imagine how it would have been if S.D. Burman and Gulzar worked together. Would have been mind blowing.

The movie is based on the 1980 novel Man, Woman and Child by Erich Segal, with an Indian twist in the end.

Here is a live solo rendition (posted on Nov 08, 2024):

Anyways, here is an older rendition of the song (posted on Nov 12, 2021):

Lyrics:
tujhase naaraaz nahi zindagi, hairaan hun mai
o hairaan hun mai
tere maasum savaalo se pareshaan hun mai
o pareshaan hun mai

jine ke liye sochaa hi na thaa, dard sambhaalane hoge
muskuraaun to, muskuraane ke karz uthaane hoge
muskuraaun kabhi to lagataa hai
jaise hotho pe karz rakhaa hai
tujhase

aaj agar bhar aai hai, bunde baras jaayegi
kal kyaa pataa inake liye aankhe taras jaayegi
jaane kahaan gum kahaan khoyaa
ek aansu chhupaake rakhaa thaa
tujhase

zindagi tere gam ne hame rishte naye samajhaaye
mile jo hame dhup me mile chhaanv ke thade saaye
(music for these lines!)
o tujhase
