It is day 4, and today I chose to sing one of my favorite old time song from 1949. When this song was released, it was just two years since India had achieved independence from the rule of the British empire. This song is definitely decades before I or most of you were born. This song used to popularly played on radio when I was a boy, so I do have some memories of this song.
Suhani Raat Dhal Chuki is a hit song from the movie Dulari, directed by A. R. Kardar. Music direction was done by Naushad, lyrics written by Shakeel Badayuni and sung by the golden voice great Mohammed Rafi. So this song had three greats put their talents together. No wonder it is such an evergreen song which sounds as fresh and great as it did back in the day.
