Learn and Sing 1 Bollywood Classic Hindi Song per day for 300 days, that is what I did. 300 PLUS songs recorded.
Thanks to COVID to be able to do this from home in Nashville TN.
Born & raised in India, I mostly listened to western rock, blues, punk, reggae & jazz.
I challenged myself to learn & sing old Hindi songs which, as a child, I used to hear at home on classic radio or TV.
Recorded live, one take, no edits, with backing track, or with an acoustic guitar.
It is day 251, and today's song is Kehna Hai Kehna Haisung by Kishore Kumar from the 1968 hit comedy moviePadosan directed by Jyoti Swaroop, and produced by Mehmood and N.C. Sippy. Music composed by R.D. Burman, and lyrics written by Rajinder Krishan.

So it is day 2 of my Bollywood classics Hindi song, one song per day for the next 300 days. I am going to sing and post 1 song per day for the next 300 days...298 more days to go.
For day 2, I picked a song from 1960, a time before my time, and for many of you too this is possibly before your time. The song is titled Khoya Khoya Chand Khula Aasmaan, from the movie Kala Bazar, directed by Vijay Anand. The music director of this song is my all time Bollywood favorite musician, the legendary Mr. S.D.Burman. He’s the best IMHO. Lyrics written by Shailendra. The original singer of this beautiful song is none other than the legendary singer Mohammed Rafi, the great!
I love this song. This is just my humble attempt singing this song.

Awesome song! Awesome movie! My all time favorite awesome music composer S.D. Burman, and the pioneer Geeta Dutt di, from who I learnt a lot. She's my Dronacharya, and me her Ekalavya. Who would have thought one could continue to teach even after death.
